Vocaloid - Kagamine Rin - EX Figure (SEGA) (Oct. 2008) - my earliest piece of vocaloid merch, alongside the miku figure that released the same month! i got her at jungle in the summer of 2022 with miku, both were previously owned but never opened. thankfully didn't have any plasticizer seep despite that! however, like many earlier prize figures, mine does have some painting errors, mostly that a small amount of yellow paint got on her leg in manufacturing. still extremely cute!

Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku - EX Figure (Liquid Stone, SEGA) (Oct. 2008) - the miku i mentioned above! luckily, unlike my rin, she doesn't seem to have any manufacturing defects! also, because she was kept in her box for all these years, her twintails haven't bent out of shape at all -- you sometimes see this in used listings for this figure that didn't use the twintail stands for an extended period of time. super cute!

Vocaloid - Kagamine Rin - Nendoroid (#039) (Good Smile Company) (Nov. 2008) - rin's nendoroid! i got her original release CIB awhile ago, though i can't remember exactly when. i ended up purchasing the body from her cheerful release separately sometime after buying her, since i really don't like the clamp stand a lot of early nendoroids had. my favorite face of hers is the one that's like >w< it's so cute

Vocaloid - Kagamine Len - Nendoroid (#040) (Good Smile Company) (Nov. 2008) - len's nendoroid! i'm actually not sure which release mine would count as, as i kind of piecemailed him together piece by piece... i'm pretty sure his head is the original release since his faceplates don't (or rather, can't) have ears, but his body is definitely from a later release, since he has a back peg. he's unfortunately incomplete as of now, as i'm missing one of his faceplates and i haven't been able to track down his keytar.

Vocaloid - KAITO - Nendoroid (#058) (Good Smile Company) (Feb. 2009) - kaito's nendoroid! i was able to snag him for cheap, complete and in good condition aside from his box being missing. i was kind of dreading having to hunt him evenutally, as he tends to run a pretty high price, but an opportunity fell into my lap and i took it! his :D face is very cute, so i tend to pose him with it.

Vocaloid - Hachune Miku - Nendoroid Petit - Nendoroid Petite: Vocaloid #01 - Secret (Good Smile Company) (Nov. 2009) - the hachune miku nendoroid petit! despite her being such an old release, i found that my (semi-)local spot for anime goods was still selling these blind boxes as late as 2019... and both times i bought one, i got hachune. i ended up giving my spare to my friend rai, so we have a matching set!

Vocaloid - Megurine Luka - Tako Luka - Nendoroid (#093) (Good Smile Company) (Jan. 2010) - luka's nendoroid! another piecemail get, but she's much more complete than len! i was able to snag her double lariat faceplate and cheerful ponytail during a sale on CCS, and i use a nendoroid doll clamp stand to keep her from falling over. aside from missing her box, she's complete and then some!

Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku - Nendoroid (#129) - Absolute HMO Edition (Good Smile Company) (Jan. 2011) - miku's absolute hmo edition nendoroid! this was actually one of the first pieces of anime merch i bought in-store. i got it at my first trip to jungle sometime in the summer of 2012 on the way back from the aquarium, along with a nendoroid petit of madoka kaname that i've long since lost. the particular one i have now is actually a re-buy as well, as i wasn't exactly gentle with my figures when i first started collecting. she's got so many extra parts and so much potential for customization, and she's SO green which i love.

Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku - Cheerful Japan! - Nendoroid (#170) - Support ver. (Good Smile Company) (Jun. 2011) - miku's cheerful nendoroid! i've always wanted some release of miku's original nendoroid ever since i was a kid, and i was finally able to get one in 2019! granted, it's not the exact same as her original release, as she has some different accessories and faceplates, but it comes with all of her original parts, the rest is just extra. plus her happy expression is so cute! i still wanna hunt down miku 2.0 at some point, but her aftermarket is so high ;;

Vocaloid - MEIKO - Nendoroid (#187) (Good Smile Company) (Dec. 2011) - meiko's nendoroid!!! i was able to snag her for a really good price, but much to my dismay, upon her arrival her box was TOTALLY mouldy which wasn't in the pictures on the listing at ALL. got a partial refund and spent about a week and a half repeatedly cleaning her and airing her out and she's finally, FINALLY clean now. tossed the box and blister, obivously, which i'm really disappointed i had to do, but better no box than a mouldy one. she's very cute, i love her @A@ faceplate, so glad she's finally in my collection after all these years. complete cryptonloid set DONE!

Vocaloid - Kagamine Rin - Nendoroid (#301) - Append ver. (Good Smile Company) (Jun. 2013) - rin's append nendoroid!!! GOD IT'S SO CUUUUTE!!! the expressions are so nice, and all of the colors are so vibrant!! mine's missing the joint stand for her and len and the box is in pretty rough shape but the figure itself is PERFECT. literally one of my favorite nendoroids ever!

Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- Arcade Future Tone - Kagamine Rin - SPM Figure - Cheerful Candy (SEGA) (Feb. 2016) - rin's cheerful candy prize figure!! i didn't really have plans to add her to my collection immediately but i spotted her at book-off for $15 so i was like. YOINK. thank u to my bestie rai for getting her for me as a gift, big hugs! she's got a bit of a scuff on her left leg but she was $15 and in perfect condition otherwise?? so imo. A Steal

Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- Arcade Future Tone - Hatsune Miku - SPM Figure - Nyanko (SEGA) (Jul. 2017) - KITTYYYYY, my favorite project diva costume by far! got her for semi-cheap and shipping absolutely manhandled her box so I had to throw that out, but she was new otherwise!

Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku - Hatsune Miku - Nendoroid (#1930) - Empty Sekai Ver. (Good Smile Company) (Jan. 2023) - ONE OF MY FAVE MIKU NENDOROIDS, BAR NONE. i have loved miku's 25ji design since i first saw it, and it translated SO well into a nendoroid. her expressions are so slight and gentle and they fit her so well, i love posing her w her cat's cradle hands. super super super cute!!

Piapro Characters - Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len - Nendoroid (#1919, 1920) - Symphony Ver. (Good Smile Company) (Jan. 2023) - MY PRECIOUS SON AND DAUGHTER.... theyre soooo pretty.... i do wish they came with more accessories and with the finish they have i'm a little afraid of scuffing them on accident, but they're so pretty and cute and i'm so glad they got another nendoroid set after a billion years. here's hoping rin and len 2.0 nendoroids 2024 (or at least that their L pop up parades turn out nicely)

Piapro Characters - Hatsune Miku - Noodle Stopper Figure - Sailor Suit in Love, Purple (FuRyu) (Apr. 2023) - god her color palette is GORGEOUS! i got her in september 2023 in-store while on a trip to the city! she's my first noodle stopper and i would honestly consider picking up more if i actually had more of a spot to display them properly.

Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku - Nendoroid (#2139) - Magical Mirai 10th Ver. (Good Smile Company) (Sep. 2023) - The other figure I got on on that trip! I got her at Smile Fest vol. 3, and it was between her and her Magical Mirai 5th Anniversary nendoroid, which i still really wanna pick up at some point. i love her color palette and star motif and the gradient on her pigtails, and the theme song for magical mirai 10th is one of my faves!

Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku - Keyholder (Great Eastern Entertainment) (Unknown release, during or prior to 2012) - Got this along with the Great Eastern Miku plush at Hot Topic back in July or August of 2012, right before starting middle school. I got the GE Miku t-shirt on that same shopping trip, but as far as I know, it's long gone. If I remember correctly, I had this on my lanyard all throughout my first year of middle school.

Vocaloid - Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku - Keyholder (Just Toys Intl.) (Nov. 2015)- Those little blind-bag Miku keyholders that were everywhere for a while, or at least everywhere in like, mall variety stores. Picked up a few of these while they were available, got 2 angry ones and one heart-eyed one.

Vocaloid - Megurine Luka - Rubber Strap (Crypton Future Media) (Dec. 2019)- The Snow Miku Sky Town 2019 Luka charm! I found her while browsing eBay ages ago and she was super cheap, so I scooped her up. Turns out she and the other SMST 2019 keychains hadn't been logged on MFC, so they were all my first additions to the MFC catalog. She also came with a little snow-themed Luka postcard, though I can't find any release info for that. I assume it was given away for attending the event or as a purchase bonus. Also of note, 2019 marked SMST's 5th anniversary according to the postcard, so maybe we'll see some 10th anniversary stuff in 2024.

Mini VOCALOID lanyard keychains || Rin by MonieIllust on Etsy - SUPER CUTE LANYARD AND KEYCHAIN COMBO!! i'd been looking for a kagamine belt-chain style lanyard for forever and im super happy i finally found one, and with such a cutely illustrated keychain to boot! the artist even included a rin pin and miku sticker as a bonus which was super sweet of them. definitely shopping their art again soon!!

Miku, Rin, and Len Badge - I either got this in a multipack from somewhere, or maybe it was in the pin bin at Hot Topic. Not sure.

Miku Enamel Pin - Got this in Little Tokyo, though apparently it's commonly sold on wholesale sites. I unfortunately don't know the original artist.

Miku Perler Pin - Made this one myself! It has a thumbtack on the back so it can be attached to a corkboard.

Vocaloid - Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len - Shoulder Bag (Arkness Japan) (???)- ok i genuinely cannot find any release info on this. it has listings p much everywhere, including TOM so i know it's officially licensed, but can't find any release date anywhere. ANYWAY! very cute very versatile bag. currently use it as a going-out bag occasionally and have a bunch of pins on the flap part. was originally looking at getting the big rin bag w the itabag section that looks like a big smiley but legit ones are $70+ and im not doing that lol

Vocaloid - Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len - Iron-on patch (Great Eastern Entertainment) (2015)- Same situation as the above, though at least this time we DO have a release year. I honestly really like a lot of the old merch w yagi gojou's artwork, it's nice to see it got used beyond just the keychains and shirts. probably going on my patch jacket at some point.

Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku (Great Eastern Entertainment) (unknown release, during or prior to 2012)- It's Her... THE miku plush. got her from the same hot topic on the same trip as my miku rubber strap. did i mention i also had a miku backpack that year until it fell apart? fucking hell i was in the special interest zone

Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- Arcade Future Tone - Hatsune Miku - Mega Jumbo Nuigurumi - Nyanko (SEGA) (Jun. 2017)- KITTY MIKU PLUSH! I'm pretty sure I got her at a con pre-pandemic. Man I wanna go back to cons but you could not pay me to go back to AX with how crowded it is now and how many bad things I've heard about security. Need to find smaller cons.

Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku - Special Fuwa Fuwa Nuigurumi - Sakura (SEGA) (Apr. 2019)- Sakura Miku plush! My mom and sibling got this for me for the holidays a few years ago and I love it! I really wanna hunt down both more Sakura Miku merch and more of the SEGA Fuwa Fuwa Nuigurumi plushes.

Piapro Characters - Kagamine Rin - Potekoro Mascot (Max Limited) (Jun. 2023)- THE SILLYYYYYYY i got her at a shop back in december!! they only had one of the potekoro blind box sets left and i took a chance at it since i would be happy w anyone and i got MY GIRL!!! she's super cute and i carry her around with me in my bag when i go out sometimes!! otherwise she lives on my desk lol

MIKUNOPOLIS in LOS ANGELES "Nice to Meet You, I'm Hatsune Miku" Aniplex version (Limited Edition Blu-ray & CD Combo Set) (Nov. 2011)- Mikunopolis! This was actually how I learned about Vocaloid concerts; I saw coverage of this on the news and ever since then I've really wanted to go to one. Unfortunately, still haven't had any luck on that front. IMO this concert still has one of the most solid setlists even today, even if the selection from non-Miku performers is (as always) limited.

Miku No Hi Daikanshasai 2012/03/08-09 Complete Box (Aug. 2012)- THE Miku concert of all time IMO! the setlist for both days is exquisite, each day has multiple guest performers AND an extended live band, AND the models are the best they've ever looked, as this was the last concert before they transitioned to using the in-game PD models.

AkunoP - cosMo@BousouP - Dios/SignalP - Dixie Flatline - Ginsaku - iroha(sasaki) - Nori-P - OwataP - Toraboruta - Vocaloid - Kagamine Len - Kagamine Rin - Album - EXIT TUNES PRESENTS Vocalogemini feat.Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len (Pony Canyon) (Apr. 2012) very good rin and len compilation album!! there are some songs i wasn't familiar with prior to listening (ikasama casino, setsuna disco) and one song I really wish /wasn't/ included (please.... the shota schtick with len was never funny.... we don't need to have a song playing it for laughs....) but overall pretty solid and highly reccomended release. would be interested in getting a comp CD of their later songs as well, so i might have to hunt down their 10th or 15th anniversary CDs at some point. favorite len song on this release is a tie between migikata no chou and paradichlorobenzene, favorite rin song is a tie between tengaku and meltdown, and favorite duo song is a tie between gemini and rimokon.

Nem - Vocaloid - Gumi - Hatsune Miku - Kagamine Len - from Neverland -Best of Nem- (Pony Canyon) (Jun. 2012) NEMMMMMM definitely up there on my list of favorite early-scene producers. favorite song off this compilation is scissorhands for sure!! subarashiki nyansei and goodbye polaris are other highlights.

UtsuP - Happypills (Sep. 2023)- 10/10 album. go listen to Utsu-P!! after letting the album simmer in my mind for a while, my favorite track is probably hello builder, with harie and rrrrafflesia being close seconds.

Mizuki and Ena Tinted Acrylic Keychains by plushishop - got these on preorder last year, they're SUUUUPER cute! the print quality is awesome, they're double-sided and they have this silky smooth epoxy finish i just love. you can buy them at their shop here!
